Colonial Inn is located off of South Virginia Dare Trail, Nags Head, North Carolina. It is a small motel next to the beach. Guest review: "Wi-Fi is terrible,

He drove to Nags Head to video record the work golferInABottle. Once there he decided to create the video installation girlDancing
in his room at the Colonial Inn, Nags Head. The video installation consisted of a chair which was in the room, a clear glass hour shaped flower vase,
and a rif6 Cube mobile projector.
The video animation featured a young girl repeating a simple dance step. The rif6 Cube projected the dancing girl
on the bottom of the glass vase and through the vase onto the ceiling. The image also reflected off the bottom of the vase onto the chair showing a
faint, blurry version of the video which was still identifiable.
That night was also the night of the 2016 presidential election. He woke up very early the next morning to a message
on his cell phone that the election results were in. It was a blustery, cold, almost rainy morning wandering around the deserted beaches
and salt marshes. The two video installations were succesful. The election was not.
Rodanthe is to the south of Nags Head on the Outer Banks. Today's Rodanthe, NC, is yesterday's Chicamacomico, an Algonquin word supposedly meaning 'sinking down sand'. ... Presumably Chicamacomico was too hard to pronounce or spell for the postal service, but no one seems to remember where the name Rodanthe came from.
